This rare find is very interesting.. It measures just 17 long and is very old. The heavily patinated wooden ball is attached to the iron linked chain. The leather shackle works like a belt. Not the best security system. But clearly this was used. A lot. The leather shows honest wear and age. I’m thinking this is 150 years old. I believe the photographs give an accurate read.

This original antique 6 panel rugby football which dates from between 1890 and 1920 so would be from the time rugby and football were crossing over into two separate sports. Is a smaller size. Has three lace holes with string laces and is made of brown leather. The bladder is the original seamed type with a tube valve and has been fitted inside the ball inflated but does not hold air. The ball holds it’s shape well for display. This early great looking ball which has lots of age related wear is a very rare piece and would make a great collectible display ball for a rugby football fan. Dimensions: Length: Approx 31 cm with curve. Circumference: Approx 55 cm (21 3/4). Condition: Well used antique condition with lots of scuffs, scrapes, scratches and marks. The original bladder is fitted but it does not hold air but holds shape well for display. A genuine vintage rugby football and not a modern reproduction. Stunning Red and gold enamel on Silver ladies small fob ball watch. Silver mark stamped on the top ring. We are clearing a room. This has been in a drawer for decades. It goes a bit while but needs attention to the winding. It seems to go tight. And only winds a fraction then it is tight. But does seem to tick a short while. Fabulous enamel stunning condition. It does look pretty mint. But does not work. Because it’s so stunning condition it is worth it just for the wearability if it at all could not be fixed.
