A Center Ruffled cane is encircled by five concentric rings of canes. The outer ring is pulled down as shown in documented pictures of early Bacchus weights c. See page 15, “Old English Paperweights” by Robert Hall. The paperweight is 3-5/16″ in diameter and 2-7/16″ high. The upper surface is near perfect with only a tiny bit of extremely light wear and NO bruises, chips or significant wear or damage. There is a small depression on one side that appears to be from an elongated bubble at the surface during the making. The slightly concave base has a rough pontil and shows appropriate wear to the base rim confirming the age.
