Thank you + HAPPY Treasure Hunting! A Rare Antique 18th C. Early Americana Wood and Forged Iron Nail Soapstone Foot Warmer. The closure end piece of wood does have some play from years of the stone pressing against. It will protrude about 1/2 and can be pressed back. I’ve provided pics of it in both positions. I believe a small piece of the top vent has come off which would have been attached to the end, and thus the reason for the slight play. Otherwise, it has beautiful age wear and rounded edges. Forged iron nails throughout. Great representation of an early and scarce style foot warmer. Measures: 10-1/4″L x 7-1/2″W x 3-1/4H. Please see pics as they are part of description as well. Antique Early American wooden sculpture of a horse. Wood is very light from age, shows trace of colored paint. Broken legs and tail. Would have to be restored. I do not have the missing parts. The horse measured from the tip of the nose to the end of the broken tail is about 12″ and from the top of the head to the end of the broken leg is about 7.5″.

This is an early antique 19 American Cloth Doll with an oil painted head. The seam on the head runs down both sides, down the back, and down the front of the head. The hair and facial features are very nicely painted. There is a split on the cloth up above the forehead. The body is cloth with mitten type hands. Painted areas show wear, but is all original. RARE EARLY 20TH CENTURY ANTIQUE’AUNT JEMIMA’ BLACK AME RIC ANA MONUMENTAL UPRIGHT CAST IRON DOORSTOP W/ORIGINAL. Late 19th-early 20th century figurative cast iron doorstops. 13″ Height x 8″ Width 3 ¼ Depth. Offered is this superb and one of the very best late 19th to early 20th century antique Ame ri can hand painted cast iron Aunt Jemima monumental doorstops at least I have ever seen. What makes it special is not only its very large, even monumental size at 13 inches in height, but the wonderful sculptural features that remain crisp and clear and not obscured by later enamel paint, which almost always buries the figurative details of the form in the viscous, thick enamel oil paint. This monumental doorstop now reads as pure Ame ri can folk art sculpture, with its original painted surfaces and remains unbastardized, untouched and undisturbed. That and that alone is enough to make this piece of turn-of- the-century Black Americana interesting enough, never mind the exemplary and extraordinary original painted surfaces. Without any demonstrable flea-bites to its edges, deep abrasions, dents or dings and really without any other kind of deformities that a drop or serious tumble might have caused. It’s nearly flawless and only shows the normal depreciating effects of time. It was discovered on the South Shore of Massachusetts and is estate-fresh and fresh to the marketplace, never having been seen outside of the home where it was found. Not only an extraordinary Ame ri can antique but an extraordinary Ame ri can cultural artifact. Very rare in this kind of well-preserved, untouched, unadulterated original condition. One killer antique painted Aunt Jemima cast iron doorstop. Good to Very Good overall antique condition.
