This is from my own collection, it’s a great piece the base is very unusual , the blacksmith has repurposed a ancient scrap horseshoe if you look closely , it’s not unusual for bases to be old turned wood pieces repurposed but I have never seen this done before, it is genuine and untouched and unchanged a good size 10.25 inches high , a very nice piece for your collection. (5465) A wonderful 19th Century Welsh antique spoon rack of rare construction which is both stepped but also of pyramid form. Made of pine boards and nailed together. With 3 tiers – the top accommodating 1 spoon; the middle tier accommodating 4 spoons and the bottom tier accommodating 7 spoons. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE SPOONS ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THE SALE. If you just search 1930’s Jump Hour you will find these. Some of these are quite expensive. Chrome plated case measures 25.5mm in diameter without crown X 36 mm lug tip to lug tip. Would benefit from a re-chrome. Hand winder movement looks quite clean. It winds, sets and runs too but doesn’t seem to be very accurate. Watch is rather slow. It is roughly -2 hours in 24 hours. I guess it would benefit from a fresh cleaning and lubrication. Service history in unknown.
