LARGE DUGDILLS COG LAMP WITH BASE. Cog wheel joints and heavy “DUGDILLS PATENT” cast base. Bare metal arms and shade. Fully extended the lamp measures 1.1m to top joint (1.3m with shade tilted upwards). Rewired with vintage flex and fitted with a new chrome bulb holder. Fully working, but not currently PAT tested (advisable to get old lamps checked). The bare metal arms and base have an aged patina. They have been lightly cleaned and waxed. RARE ADMIRALTY DUGDILLS LAMP. Wall or desk mounting lamp. Nikel-plated brass clam shell shade. Admiralty patent to the base (AP9101). Dates from 1920s to 1930s. Rewired with black vintage flex and fitted with an inline switch. Aged patina to the stripped metal arms and base. The shell shade is a little tarnished with a couple of minor creases and areas of loss to the plating (revealing brass beneath). Measures 95cm, when fully extended.
