This is an extremely rare antique Georgian engraving dating to 1800 titled’Grotesque Borders for Rooms and Halls’, by the artist and caricaturist Thomas Rowlandson. Although a well-known series of caricatures at the time, they are almost unobtainable today with no other examples of any of the 17+ series of engravings available anywhere else. Measuring 63.5cm by 42.5cm including the frame the print is in good condition with 2 main areas of browning, and several other smaller areas; the refinished frame is also good with some marks tot he left side and a whiteish patch to the right hand side.
