PRIMITIVE FRENCH WASP WAIST MANNEQUIN. DIVINE FULL WIRE CAGE BUSTLE SKIRT. RARE ANCIENNE DRESS FORM. Authentic & very rare Mannequin, Complete with original wooden stand. Circa very early 1800’s. Absolute divine original character! This divine ancienne full size female torso mannequin is designed in a strong toughened compressed type structure. With the original French unbleached ecru wadding textile & silk covering. She has a very petite figure with a stunning wasp waist, as was the figure of the Victorian times. She beautifully displays her original wire cage bustle skirt. Which has a circular structure for purpose of positioning the wire cage. The base of the torso has the original solid wood where the stand attaches. The turned wooden stand is cleverly designed. It has ball structures where the circular metal structure of the cage is positioned up or down for positioning of the wire cage. Securely stands on tripod feet. This divine & rare mannequin is absolutely original & unique… Full of beautiful character! Wasp waist: 56cm (22). A TRUE, RARE & UNIQUE PRIMITIVE FRENCH MANNEQUIN. She is absolutely full of original character with her tears, knocks & bumps over hundreds of years. Of delightful display & use. Her wire cage bustle skirt is in a wonderful solid condition with its perfect adjustable circular structure. The original wooden stand is in a good solid condition.. There is a split to the lower wood which has the addition of two strong straps to further prevent splitting… Please see picture 11. These straps were added many years ago & are unseen. The above is commensurate of such a rare primitive Item. Certainly no detriment to use or display.. Superbly adds to to the authentic character of such a lovely original antique piece. Nice large scale piece is approximately 8″ wide and 10″ long from top of handle to bottom of roller. It is in good primitive condition with the usual anticipated nicks and some wood cracking. RARE Early Vintage Knoll International Harry Bertoia Counter Height Wire Stools. Listed for sale are two very rare and early original Harry Bertoia counter stools, produced for Knoll International. These fabulous early examples have a notable sled leg much like the bertoia side chairs. This is a detail not found on later stools and is super rare to find. The pair retain their original full upholstered covers and show beautiful patina to the frames. The frames do show some wear, but also help to show their early details and originality. The price listed is for both chairs. Note, these are slightly lower than the currently available Bertoia counter stools. Seat height is 25 inches. RARE Fine Pair Meiji Early Japanese Silver Wire Cloisonne Enamel Vases -Geishas. A very beautiful antique Rare Pair Early Meiji cloisonne vases. The plentiful colors are brilliant and gold and silver wire detail is outstanding. The ground color is uncommon and beautiful. I would call it a yellow-green, if that helps. These vases are very, very old, exhibit very high standard of fine Japanese hand craftsmanship. From the early, early Meiji Period, the cloison detail work in gold an silver wire was certainly performed by a master of Japanese cloisonne. These antique vases are in excellent original condition. No evidence of trauma, but some hairline cracks can be seen in photos. I believe these are from age or the period made. Some normal wear to base. Vases display very beautifully. The recurring white spot is flash off high gloss finish. These may not be shiny and perfect like the newer ones, but these are the’real deal’, if you like very old, original pieces. And they are beautiful. Approximate size is 6 tall. Please see photos as an integral part of this description. Sometimes the camera catches what I don’t. Please ask any questions. From my own personal collection, these fine vases would be an excellent addition to your own cloisonne collection. All reasonable offers considered. Please check my other auctions. A beautifully ancient part of a Roman gold earring , dating circa II – III century A. This wonderful gold earring displays the great craftsmanship of the ancient goldsmith who created it. The terminal is in the form of a shield with five small circles and the details are remarkable for such a small piece. The earring is formed of five strands of twisted gold wire, two of which are twisted filigree and the other being plain twisted wire. The terminal has chased decoration as well as applied coiled and filigree wire. Condition: Excellent, beautifully preserved, with no restorations.
