Offered here is my. RARE SCHUCO ROLLER SCOOTER. VERY EARLY MECHANICAL VEHICLE, WITH MONKEY RIDER (wind-up, not friction). Little mohair and felt covered monkey figure. About late 1920’s. Tinplate three wheeled scooter measures about 9 cm length. UNUSUAL WIND-UP / CLOCKWORK MONKEY CAR……. ORIGINAL FIXED-HEAD KEY WINDER. Scooter still winds up, and speeds about in large circle. The scooter mechanism has a mechanical attachment, still moving but not connected to the monkey’s arm; as the scooter moves about, this attachment would make the monkey wave his right arm (which originally held a balloon). Now so very old, he displays in his original untouched state, as clearly shown……. Monkey and scooter aged with plenty of wear, surface loss, head looseness, marking and missing parts. (please take a good look at the images for his actual condition). SCARCE ALMOST ANTIQUE TIN TOY, A REAL PERIOD PIECE FROM EARLY LAST CENTURY. Extremely Rare Large-Scale Antique Tinplate. Pendent from a silk hanging loop, a wonderfully crafted decorative model. The elegant, shaped balloon has been constructed from six panels hand painted alternating green, red and gold. From this is suspended a wonderful circular gondola via a. Complex web of silk cords. The detail is marvellous. The edges of the gondola have been carefully rolled to. Avoid sharp edges and a fine mesh has been applied to the outside to simulate basket-weave. Inside are three charmingly two-dimensional figures carefully cut out of. With streaming scarves suggestive of a windy day. Their applied pointing and gesticulating arms, well convey. The excitement of the sightseeing passengers. Condition is good although the paint is certainly what one would call. This is often the case with tinplate of this age. There is enough original detail to repaint if desired. Clearly all handmade and possibly unique. A wonderful, rare survival and the sort of quirky item often sought by interior designers. OFFERED HERE IS MY. SCARCE ANTIQUE CAR FROM LEHMANN (Ernst Paul Lehmann). RARELY SEEN LEHMANN TERRA…. These are larger scale than the usual Lehmann vehicles. Limousine measures almost 25 cm / nearly 10 inches. SHOWN HERE IS THE SCARCE EARLIER VERSION OF THE TERRA…… With its unique two-doors and spoke wheels (later editions display with four doors and use disc wheels). VERY ATTRACTIVE RED LITHO FINISH, AND BLACK UPPER…… CLOCKWORK / WIND UP MECHANISM UNDERSIDE… WITH ORIGINAL FIXED-KEY WINDER. The old mechanism will carefully wind up, and spins the drive axle (wheels loose). LARGE ORIGINAL FIGURE IN PERIOD UNIFORM…. SITS AT HIS BIG STEERING WHEEL. The steering wheel on these cars is functional/connected to front wheels. FULL LENGTH RUNING BOARDS. DISPLAYS PATENT DATES OF 1903/1904/1907 & 1913. Car displays very nicely….. Remember it’s around 100 years old, so does have some age/play wear, with the odd blemish, scuff, chip , scratches, dimple etc… But certainly nothing unsightly. The original little flag/emblem is missing from the hood. Steering wheel will turn with great care… But is quite stiff/common on these early cars. The tin wheels have age and play wear, few dinks… And they are somewhat loose/wobbly on axles, with enlarged center axle holes etc.. THE COLOUR IS STILL VERY NICE AND BRIGHT…..
