The large style is a very rare one dating back to the 1700’s with a Puritan or Shaker and Colonial design. If you love rare early lighting antiques this one is a show stopper and we’ve only seen a similar one in history books and a few museums over the years which is where we also hope this one ends up.

Rare antique Waterman #24 fountain pen, Taper Cap, Eyedropper. Late 800 – early 900. Waterman was founded in 1983 in New York and is considered the first modern pen factory thanks to the patent of the first multichannel power supply. Already in the official catalog of 1897 the models with taper cap appear, including the one with the two gold bands put up for sale here. The pen for sale. Is a very clean 100% original BCHR Waterman Eyedropper #24. It has no cracks, no engravings, no damage, or anything of the sort. Aside from some extremely minor marks on the section, this pen is flawless. The end of the barrel is appropriately stamped with the number 24. The original Waterman #4 nib is smooth, fine in width, and faintly flexible. The chasing is excellent. Taper Cap Waterman are fairly scarce and this one is in excellent condition. The features of the pen are as follows. Ideal 24 Taper Cap. End 800 – beginning 900. Gold nib engraved with Waterman Ideal New York 4. Excellent condition; the inside of the body of the pen has no trace of ink, so it has never been used or has been cleaned very well; it is a very beautiful pen with a beautiful bright black color; see the photographs. Non ha spaccature, nessuna incisione, nessun danno o qualcosa del genere. A parte alcuni segni estremamente minori sulla sezione, questa penna è impeccabile. Sul fondello è stampato in modo appropriato il numero “24”. Il pennino originale Waterman # 4 è liscio, sottile e leggermente flessibile. La cesellatura è eccellente. Le Watermans Taper Cap sono piuttosto rare e questa è in condizioni eccellenti. Le caratteristiche della penna sono le seguenti. Fine 800 inizio 900. (a caduta, a contagocce). In oro con inciso Waterman Ideal New York 4. Ottime condizion; linterno del corpo della penna non ha tracce di inchiostro, quindi o non e mai stata usata o e stata ripulita molto bene; e una penna moto bella con un bel colore nero brillante; vedere le fotografie. Nero decorato a righe ben visibili con 2 bande dorate decorate, sul corpo la scritta: Waterman, s Ideal Fountain Pen NY Patd feb. Lunghezza: 145 mm (5-7/8).
