An exceedingly rare piece. A special Victorian-era ultra rare Heubach masterpiece. From my own collection. A young girl and her cat companion. Put on a performance. The cat looks at a songbook and. Sings in the most lovely cat voice. I call it “The Parlor Perfomance” – think Jane Austen’s “Emma”. And the importance of the Victorian parlor as a place to. Show off one’s musical talents… The young lady wears a ruffled day cap trimmed with blue. Bow, an Empire-style pale yellow dress with a giant bow. To the back, plunging square neckline and high waist. Pouf sleeves and long gloves, matching silk shoes. This is clearly a Georgian outfit, putting the girl.
