This is a very desirable example of North Queensland Rainforest Shield production in the first half of the 20th century: lacking somewhat in overall dimensions compared to the19th c. Examples, it nevertheless has the great individualised ochre graphics which make the earliest examples so desirable. It is substantially an excellent scaled-down version, and probably now equally rare. The Length is: 15 38 cm. Condition is excellent, with the ochres stable and in good condition.
