EARLY SCOTTISH CINEMA SIGN. A rare early cinema sign, in untouched condition since the day it was last used to display the evenings movies in 1955, in Scotland – Timberjack and African Manhunt. The cardboard spacers have a lovely naturally worn and aged patina, creating wonderful contrasting colours against the dark stencil letters. The paper lining at the back which is used to help illuminate the letters has been damaged to the top, which is likely the reason it was discarded and not used again. I have taken pictures of it with and without a light behind it, to show how it would have looked in use. This could be achieved as a permanent display if you create a light box for example. I however, have left it as found. 96cm H x 65cm W x 3cm D.

Up for sale is an extremely rare antique solid cast iron figural doorstop made the second half of the 19th century. The stop is in the form of an armed Scottish soldier standing on a platform base with his hand propped on the rock background. It’s made of very thick iron, is extremely heavy, and has acquired a lovely patina from age. The casting is an exceedingly rare form. In nice antique condition and measures 14 3/4 inches tall by 12 1/2 inches wide by 3 inches back to front. Thank you for visiting “Dusty Treasures ” and please feel free to browse through. Sterling Silver, Citrine and Agate Scottish Screwback Earrings & Antique Victorian Scottish Sterling Silver Cairngorm Agate Pin. Necklace is 18 inches long and weighs 63.7 g with. Moss Agate, Carnelian, Red, Gray Banded Agate, Natural Citrine Stones, Cairngorm Citrine, White Chalcedony Banded Agate, Amethyst Cabochon, Green Jade, Blue Agate. Seven super clean citrines in a Silver Celtic setting and interspersed with nice colourful cabochon Agate pebbles. Nmarked but tested and guaranteed sterling silver. Bracelet fitted with a lovely engraved catch and fitted with a safety chain, Weighs 13 Grams. Antique sterling silver Screw-back SCOTTISH THISTLE earrings set with citrine and inlaid agate. They are stamped “ST SI” for sterling silver and. Also features the “WH” maker’s mark. They were made from circa 1885 through about 1920. There is a thistle in the center, set with orange-yellow citrine. Inlaid agate graces the opposite edges of each heart. Length: 1.25 inches each. Total weight: 6.4 grams. Rare large Antique Rocking Horse on Bow Rocker with Scottish Castle provenance… Circa 1830 – 1860. This beautiful large antique bow rocking horse who previously resided in one of Scotlands well known castles & comes with genuine provenance, is now looking for a loving appreciative home. Refurbished many years ago whilst still resident at Cassilli House Castle in Scotland where the Kennedy family moved to from their previous residence’Culzean Castle’ which they had handed to the Scottish national trust in 1946, Reckless underwent a more recent restoration a few years ago by Jan Rusling to include conservation of his original bow & replacement ears. He was repainted to a more authentic pattern of his period & given a beautiful horsehair mane & tail. His old saddlery & components that he came with from Cassilli house have been kept safe and will come with him to his new owner, as is all part of his history. Being the very old horse that he is (approx Circa 1830 – 1860) his bow rocks with a wobble and he has age related / wood movement cracks including around where his legs meet his body hence he has some areas of paint loss. This is all part & parcel of how wood reacts to its environment & also in reckless’s case his age. This has not been an issue to his appreciative collector as he is considered retired and has been appreciated purely as an interior piece of beauty, uniqueness & British history. His new owner will need to be understanding & appreciate that this is his nature. If you want absolute perfection he is not for you! He stands approx 47/48 high his bow length will be added.
