The people could be two farmers or a couple. Both have hats on, it appears. The whole scene is then circled by a floral and foliage display. All this on one small bowl – a true work of art to be treasured.
Very Rare Green Uranium 7 Piece Trinket Set with Clock. Art Deco Depression Era 1920/30s. This is a very rare Uranium Green. Art Deco Trinket Set or Dressing Table Set with a Clock making this a very rare set. These were made in the Depression era 1920’s and 1930’s between the 2 World Wars and are nearly 100 years old, nearly antique. Is a large, heavy 7 piece set including the Clock. The set comprises. One large Trinket Tray measuring 12.75. Inches or 32.5cm wide by 10. Inches or 25.5cm deep. Inches or 8.5cm high. Inches or 8.5cm wide and 2. Inches or 5cm deep. The clock stands on 4 little glass feet and they are very good. It has a winder on the back of the clock but I have never wound it up, I have only had it on display. Two large Candle Stick Holders are 5.25. Inches or 13.5cm high and 3.5 inches or 9cm wide across the base. One Trinket Pot and Lid measures 3. Inches or 7.5cm wide and nearly 3.5 inches or 9cm high, with the lid on top. Trinket Tray 3.5. Inches or 9cm wide and. Inches or 5cm across. The trinket pieces have an unusual patt. Ern of leaves and twigs cut into the glass. The whole Trinket Set or Dressing Table Set is in very good condition for its age. There are two small flat chips on the back of the tray which are very hard to see because of the cut pattern, but you can feel them. There is a tiny smooth chip on the back of the clock. The rest of the pieces are all good. It is a good quality Trinket Set and is very heavy when combined and on display. Have a look at all the photos to see the glowing lovely uranium green colour and condition. I know what it is like to get broken items and feel bitterly disappointed when they are not wrapped properly. I will double box this lovely. To protect it, and make sure you get it in the same beautiful condition it is in now.
This pretty set has 4 trios a bread plate and a milk and sugar with 2 spare side plates there are no chips or cracks and it is in good condition for its age (one f the spare plates has a small mark to the rear only)A pretty antique set.
Extremely Rare Opalescent Madonna and Child. Centre Piece Art Deco Original on Stand. This is an art deco large pretty Opalescent original Centre Piece with the Madonna and Child figurine. It is very heavy thick glass throwing out colour. This was made in France by Etling Glass in the Depression Era 1930s. The Madonna is holding the Child on her left side with both Madonna and the child facing the same direction. Madonna has a long gown on with a veil over her head. The metal stand has “MADE IN FRANCE” on the underside of the stand. The Madonna is 11.5 inches or 29 cm high and 3.5 inches or 9cm in diameter across the base. The Madonna and Child Figurine is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, repairs or damage. These are getting very scarce, you don’t see them very much anymore. Have a look at all the photos to see the lovely colour and condition. I know what it is like to get broken items and feel bitterly disappointed when they are not wrapped properly. Absolutely beautiful and so rare to find. A fine early bird chintz quilted textile from about 1820. The front is a bird drinking from a fountain or possibly an urn or fountain surrounded by arborescent foliage and flora. There is a lovely speckled design to the ground. Lovely soft autumnal type hues of sage green and soft browns. Either English or American. Not overly glazed, soft and soft tones. The back is a madder toned cotton print which is later than the cotton chintz on the front so very possibly generational. I imagine once part of a larger counterpane. One edge is stitched under as is the bottom in tiny stitches I have tried to show in the photos. The other edge is raw. An amazing piece for the collector of rare early textiles. Displays beautifully in an early setting. Strong and stable and in fine condition for it’s age. Some age tanning to the bottom area as seen in photo #10 which to me adds lovely charisma to this charming specimen. Measures just slightly over 10″ wide by aprox 73-74″ long. I sell antique and vintage fabric. Each textile is different; some possibly used, some unused. I will give you my best assessment. I do not always launder them nor do I know all their history, how they have been stored over time etc..
