Very Rare Antique Art Deco Jadeite Green Uranium Opaline Glass Large Pitcher Jug. This wonderful large pitcher jug is a fabulous example of Antique Jadeite Opaline glassware. Created in the early 20th Century in UV Sensitive Uranium Glass it is a fantastic rarity. These Jade coloured opaque pieces made in Britain by the Stourbridge makers and in France by the likes of Baccarat rose to popularity in the art deco period and are still highly sought today. This particular piece is a striking example with its unique shape and footed base, large exaggerated applied handle and of course its delightful colour and reactive glow. A spectacular addition to any collection or display. 18.5cm tall, 17.5cm in length and 12.5cm wide at widest point. Base is just over 9.5cm wide and across rim is 12cm in diameter. Condition is’Used’ – Good overall antique condition with some wear commensurate with age such as a couple of scratches that are dark in appearance mainly on the base but a couple of spots to surface in places. Stylish piece of original Deco lighting with beautiful original period fittings. “Beautiful classic style with lots of character”. Substantially built in heavily constructed components throughout. Stunning Large Opaline moonstone milk glass plafonier bowl in a three arm riginal “heavy brass cage”. Original 1920s heavy “alternating designs” solid bronze chains. Original three-arm bronze ceiling plate with cable lock. Original heavy bronze “three-bulb” spherical block head. T hree original bronze bayonet-fit B22 bulb holders. Professionally re-wired in period match three-core silk braided twist cable, earthed, tested, and in perfect working order. Totally charming when lit. For dimensions, please see images. These are each little works of art. The collection varies from c. Will describe each as listed. This is an early one, a rare purplish-white opaline glass, an ormolu cased bonbon basket with 2 lift-up lids, each with their own mother of pearl-accented 1 1/8 round architectural paintings. The two scenes are le Odelisk and Napoleon’s Triumphal Arch in front of the Louvre. Photos show the fine details, condition, measurements. Very good to excellent condtion throughout for age and type. No chips or flaws on the old early 1800s opaline glass, and no dents or losses on the intricate ormolu. The lids are not made with clasps, each side rises like a basket’s sides. And the center hinge is a pin-hinge, both sides connecting but totally functional. Measurements noted on photos. The addition of mother of pearl behind sections of the paintings gives this one shimmer of rainbow at angles of view. We’re easy to deal with. You are very important! Up on offer here is this Superb and very rare early 1930s large industrial factory office desk lamp featuring a large ventilated heavy Opaline globe shade, and a rare three bulb lay out design. All original; Stunning period lamp.. “Please scroll down for details”. Large stool design base incorporating the large circular gallery with the original securing bolts. Built within the gallery is a very unusual central stanchion type three branch pillar structure, each branch with its original bronze E22 bayonet fit bulb holder. Very large heavy Opaline cased glass globe shade with Roman design sky light ventilation feature. Later fitted with a 1940s black Bakelite flat inline replacement ON /OFF switch. Later fitted with a 1940s MK Bakelite three round pin replacement plug with a cord grip. Recently professionally rewired with silk braided two core twist cable, tested, and in perfect working order.
