Opalescent Barolac Float Bowl Depression Era 1920/30’s Glass. The Opalescent bowl has water lily flowers and leaves. On the inside of the bowl it is signed ” Barolac ” in the glass. It is opalescent glass, it throws out lovely colours and are getting scarce in this condition.
Opalescent float bowls are very scarce, have only seen a few like the opalescent axe man. The gown is draped from her shoulder to her ankles but with no front in the gown. Victoria has a bob haircut puffed out at the back.

Extremely Rare Opalescent Madonna and Child. Centre Piece Art Deco Original on Stand. This is an art deco large pretty Opalescent original Centre Piece with the Madonna and Child figurine. It is very heavy thick glass throwing out colour. This was made in France by Etling Glass in the Depression Era 1930s. The Madonna is holding the Child on her left side with both Madonna and the child facing the same direction. Madonna has a long gown on with a veil over her head. The metal stand has “MADE IN FRANCE” on the underside of the stand. The Madonna is 11.5 inches or 29 cm high and 3.5 inches or 9cm in diameter across the base. The Madonna and Child Figurine is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, repairs or damage. These are getting very scarce, you don’t see them very much anymore. Have a look at all the photos to see the lovely colour and condition. I know what it is like to get broken items and feel bitterly disappointed when they are not wrapped properly. An early and unique Tiffany Studios single-arm sconce, of petite proportions, together with a large white ruffled-rim opalescent shade. The shade is absolutely gorgeous, when held up to the light it displays a spectacular array of opalescent colors. I do not see a signature or series of numbers but there is a small round mark near the rim, which could also be from an over-tightened screw but appears a bit far up the neck for a screw. The fixture itself is quite simplistic, with only small hints of L. A traditional form “candle cup” bobeche flows down into a round lily pad section with a swirling design. The arm has a wire wrap under the bobeches and at the wall cap side has a small round fitting, both are typical design elements in fixtures made in the early years of the studios. The Socket is General Electric and the shade fitting is Victor. (see photos on my web page) They were all originally from the same estate, and saved by maintenance during renovations. Some highlights of this group were: Pair of rare entryway sconces with their original bronze backplates, A moorish “chainmail” ceiling pendant, Pair of incredibly rare double-arm, half-gas/half electric sconces, and 6 double arm “student” sconces. This is a genuine antique or very early 20th century necklace of beautiful hand made heavy opalescent glass foil beads. The beads are irregular and have areas where they are slightly rough and have have indentations. The foil flows through each bead (not just on the surface like more modern ones). They have a wonderful golden fiery glow! They are on their original stringing. The clasp was broken so I have added another one. I have had them for a long time, and I have enjoyed wearing them. They are the older high choker length; if a longer necklace is desired then they could perhaps do with being professionally restrung with appropriate spacer beads. I do not often see foil glass beads of such high quality. The necklace is approximately 15 long and weighs just over 67g Please do also read the condition report and have a look at all the images, as they form part of the description.
