This listing is for an antique Ansonia mantel clock. This rare clock is referred to as a “swinger” or a “mystery” clock. This one is an early “tin can” model. This clock is composed of a statue of a woman and a clock that sways back and forth in her hand. The clock appears to be in overall good condition. We got it professionally tuned up and had the suspension repaired in August of this year. It ran when tested. Notes indicate that the colors on the statue were touched up in 2010. The repairman informed us that this is an Ansonia and that many of these mystery/swinger clock movements are not stamped with the Ansonia logo.
