This is an exceedingly rare, highly sought after 19 908 model by Simon Halbig, made for the French Market circa 1885. Bisque socket head free from all chips, cracks or repairs and in superb condition. Very pale delicate complexion, dark icy blue inset glass eyes, thick dark eyeliner, painted lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, slightly-parted lips, two square-cut upper teeth, one square-cut lower tooth, pierced ears with pearl earrings, luxurious antique ash blonde mohair wig w/ extensions (sparse in the back crown area covered by bonnet), original early composition and wooden body near mint with desirable straight wrist. Dressed in an antique factory original presentation chemise that fits as if it were made for her, bonnet, pantaloons, silk blend blue shoes and socks. Marks: S 11 H 908. Value Points: very rare early model with beautiful pale bisque contrasting with the dark blue wrap-around eyes, wonderful costume and wig. Very Rare 1886 to Early 1900’s Antique K & R Simon Halbig German Bisque Doll. The Doll is priced to match dolls of this age and condition. Please make reasonable offer if you would like this rare gem of a doll. This rare doll is out of an estate, and has belonged to the same family since it was made. She is in very good condition considering her age. Her head has no chips, cracks. She has her original wooden body and it is in great condition. The Kämmer & Reinhardt doll company was formed in 1886. By the sculptor Ernst Kammer and the salesman Franz Reinhardt. In Waltershausen, Thüringia, Germany by Ernst Kämmer and Franz Reinhardt. Early K & R dolls were made of wax. K & R bisque doll heads and bodies were designed by them, but most heads were manufactured by Simon & Halbig which is why heads bear both marks. From 1886 to 1909 K & R made only dolly faced dolls with a bisque head on a composition ball jointed or kid body, many with an open mouth and teeth (like this doll). After 1909 they made many types of dolls; bisque, composition or celluloid heads and even cloth costume dolls with wired bodies dressed in various professions. K & R is probably best known for character baby and child dolls. Bisque head on a ball jointed composition. Swivel bisque head with the original cork pate. Working brown glass sleep eyes that still open and close. Her mouth is open with her teeth showing. Mohair Hair with Flowers in them. She is still wearing her original clothing; a beautiful pink long dress with black lace detailing, a white slip. The dress is made by hand and is in very good condition, just missing some buttons. The dress was made well over 100 years ago so there is a tiny bit of damage. This doll is a rare find and would be a perfect addition to a collection, or a perfect holiday gift. Antique Beautiful Closed Mouth Very Rare Early Simon Halbig 719 Doll 12. In original Traditional German outfit. Stunning little doll with swivel head and shoulder plate and fine bisque arms Her head is marked S2H 719 Swivel head is a lovely pale bisque with closed mouth and pierced ears, she has little brown sleep eyes Her face is just beautiful! Her arms and hands are fine pale bisque with lovely blush detail to the hands it might be missing tiny tip on index finger not really noticeable, or maybe what just from factory. Her body is cloth in very good conditions no visible leaks or repairs. She lost her wig away, She is dressed with German outfit with Original very fragile blouse (ripped one side) lace up corset metal hooks (missing 1) Her skirt is plaid cord is partially out of the waist pocket, underwear pants, and underdress slip in good antique condition, socks are stained I didn’t take those out because are tight to the feet. Currently the head piece is just pin attached, it will need some detailed cleaning on porcelain for greater looking. Condition: No chips or cracks to her head. 1 tiny paint chip her left eye. Tiny nibble to bottom of index finger but possibly done in production. Eyes working fine sometimes will not close when head is straight but if you swivel back will work just fine. RARE EARLY 29 ANTIQUE SIMON HALBIG 949 GERMAN BISQUE DOLL – C. 1880 This rare doll is out of an estate, and is in nice condition for the age with no chips, cracks, or repairs to the head – original body, some wear – original cork pate (see pics). She has a swivel bisque head with the original cork pate – like a French fashion, and she has working brown sleep eyes, and vintage clothing – including a genuine Tiger Eye necklace (not as old as the doll), and fabulous antique shoes. We are offering her for starting for the 2006 listing in the Foulke Price Guide for a 21 doll. Wonderful estate fresh Simon Halbig Bisque face with brown sleep eyes, open mouth with four upper teeth. Solid dome ball jointed head , shoulders, elbows, wrist and knees. She has pierced ears though no earrings. The bisque head is perfect witout damage or retorations. Her early Sonenberg style body is in played with condition. She wears an antique human hair wig and an antique tulle dress with antique shoes and socks. One finger missing on left hand (middle finger) & broken pinky on other. Circa 1900 and marked with 6 pointed star with a K on one side and a R on the other. Simon & Halbig on the back of the her head and number 80 at base of the neck. Item was label with name of Julia. Beautiful Rare All Original Antique S4h Simon & Halbig Early Shoulder Head Doll

BEAUTIFUL RARE ALL ORIGINAL ANTIQUE S4H SIMON & HALBIG EARLY SHOULDER HEAD DOLL. The Beauty of her Face is just exquisite. Her dainty painted facial feature are so detailed. The bisque of the Shoulder Head is very fine and smooth, with an even complexion tint which is paler than the later dolls. She has a cut away crown with high forehead. What makes her even rarer are her sleeping eyes, only a very few of the Early Shoulder Head S&H Dolls had weighted sleeping eyes. She has the beautiful blown glass blue two tone iris with threading to give a more natural look. Her eye shape is that of an Early Shoulder Head Doll, Almond Shape with the outer corner being tapered. Also noted the detail of the molding of the upper eyelid, which is an indication of an Early Shoulder Head Doll. With her thick painted eyelashes which gives an appearance of a bottom liner, to where they are extend outward to a fine dainty line. Her eyebrows are thick and long, and are set on the superciliary arch close to the eye cut, they are flat not molded which is another indicator of an Early Shoulder Head Simon & Halbig Doll. She is a closed mouth doll with pink lips and a darker red line separating her upper and lower lips, with slightly uplifting outer corners, creating a slightly shy smile. With light pink cheeks to enhance her lips. She has small dainty pierced ears with the piercing goes into the head with is another indication of an Early Doll. She retains her original blond mohair wig with attached cork pate. No hairlines, cracks or chips to head. She is a very Early Simon and Halbig with her Marker Mark incised on the front, S4H. Her arms are of porcelain to above the elbow, with gracefully cupped hands and separate thumb. No chips or breaks to fingers, her left hand appears to have lost it’s top finish as it is very shiny, not a distraction from it’s beauty. Appears to have a kid leather body with upper arms, and cloth legs. You may see the tear of the right foot in the picture. Dress, full slip and full onsie, corset and apron. Please note the shredding to the top of dress and apron. Missing one metal piece to the corset. It appears her original clothing have never been off her. Measurements: Height of total doll is approx.
