I’d like to offer for your consideration this wonderful, early 1800’s Philadelphia slip decorated loaf dish. It is a very large piece, 16 3/4″ x 12″ x 3 1/4 tall and almost 7 pounds. As you can tell from the pictures, it does show wear and it was restored. Still a great looking piece, perfect decoration for someone who appreciates antiques and folk art. Impressed circular ADAMS WARRANTED STAFFORDSHIRE (without the center eagle) mark. Furniss, Wagner & Wagner, ADAMS Ceramics, 1999, shows variants of this pattern as shell edge on pp. Remarkably good condition with just some minor nicking wear along the top edge, mostly just to the edge glaze.
