A fantastic & rare early Dugdills work lamp. A wonderful, early model with a heavy cast iron base, articulated arm & green & white enamel shade. The subtle differences to later models set this lamp apart from the rest, the brass addition to the upright, the diminutive base & the original enamel shade finished with a black rim. An exceptionally original example of a lamp which rarely turns up for sale any more. Rewired in twisted black flex. Wear commensurate with age, very good overall. LARGE DUGDILLS COG LAMP WITH BASE. Cog wheel joints and heavy “DUGDILLS PATENT” cast base. Bare metal arms and shade. Fully extended the lamp measures 1.1m to top joint (1.3m with shade tilted upwards). Rewired with vintage flex and fitted with a new chrome bulb holder. Fully working, but not currently PAT tested (advisable to get old lamps checked). The bare metal arms and base have an aged patina. They have been lightly cleaned and waxed. RARE ADMIRALTY DUGDILLS LAMP. Wall or desk mounting lamp. Nikel-plated brass clam shell shade. Admiralty patent to the base (AP9101). Dates from 1920s to 1930s. Rewired with black vintage flex and fitted with an inline switch. Aged patina to the stripped metal arms and base. The shell shade is a little tarnished with a couple of minor creases and areas of loss to the plating (revealing brass beneath). Measures 95cm, when fully extended. A fantastic early vintage industrial Dugdills work lamp. A wonderful & very rare model with a heavy cast iron base & hanging hook, articulated arm & white enamel shade. An exceptionally original example of a lamp which very rarely turns up for sale any more. Rewired in twisted black flex. 1920’s H 45 cm Wear commensurate with age, good overall, cosmetically unrestored. All joints are freely moving with the exception of the swivel joint midway up the arm which is very often seized on these earlier models (I’ve not tried to free it up & it may well release with some encouragement). Height measurement above is taken with the lamp as per the main image. All electrical items should be checked and / or installed by a qualified electrician prior to use. A stunning, rare early vintage Dugdills brass desk lamp. A beautiful, seldom seen lamp, with an all brass construction,’daisy head’ joints, a weighted base Stamped’Dugdill Patent’ lovely patination to the brass, Later green glass shade has been added. Designed by John Dugdill this is one of the earlier lamps in the iconic Dugdills range. Rewired in a twisted black flex. These lamps are very scarce indeed and a real investment. Hight 60cm in its normal position. As a rule all of our pieces are in good to excellent vintage condition. Please remember that if a piece is in original condition, minor wear should be expected.
