Century Shargreen Shark skin cigarette box. There are around 50-100 high definition super-sized pictures at the bottom of this page. A very good looking and well made little box, ideally suited for trinkets or as it was originally intended cigarettes. Shagreen became popular in the late 18. Century, the early pieces sell for small fortunes, all original pieces like this are highly coveted especially if they have a usable function today. The condition is excellent, there will be slightly colour variations and or small stains based on genuine age and honest use. Depth:- 10.5cm.
