Eugene Deutsch Vintage Antique 1940s Artist Signed altered studio ceramic pottery drip glaze Vessel Vase – Rare Piece Chicago Artist VG – no flaws! Eugene Deutsch 1904 – 1959. Frequently also spelled Deutch was a famous 1940s Chicago pottery artist (Wilmette suburban Chicago also). Some similar works of his have been on display at the famous Art Institute in Chicago. Clearly signed on the bottom as E. Deutsch but unfortunately no date – we do know that the 1940s was his productive time period. Likely to have been used by an artist to use outside their studio or as a sample lay figure showing amazing detail and craftsmanship even though its so small, the detail in the 4mm hands is amazing. Fully articulated, and wonderful patina across the surface. This item is obviously missing sections, however we would consider this rare example as a decorative display sculpture and a work of art. Size in inches approx. H 5 x W 1.5 x D 0.7. Condition: This item is completely solid in structure and form.
