An Early Rare Victorian Oak Library Armchair Holland & Sons London 1840s

We are Rewind Interiors based in Bourne Lincolnshire PE10. A one-off chance in a lifetime to own some pure British History. 1x An Early Victorian Oak and Leather Library armchair by Holland & Sons Ex Whitehall chair. Its stamped Holland & Sons and VR made by Holland and Sons. Royal warrant holders rare early chair seldom seen outside Museums and Stately Homes. The size is 86cm high back 61cm wide at arms 72.5cm hight of arms. 62cm depth 48cm seat height the chair it got brass castor wheels. Scrolled armrests curved and dished tablet top rail on baluster tapering front legs. And square splayed back legs terminating in brass cappings and castors. The chair has the Holland & Sons stamp also a Journeyman stamp of L. And the later FCO ex-security alarm label fixed to the underside of the frame. Condition: has old rubs to the legs from age and use being as it’s from 1840s age. The seats have been reupholstered in black real leather in the past. And great condition real amazing rare designer antique chair. That were ex Whitehall Foreign & Commonwealth Office FCO pieces. The building that the chair came from. Then became the Foreign office which later became then Foreign and Commonwealth Office. This chair is a once in a lifetime chance to own a piece of Great British History. Chair very rare Early Victorian Child’s stick back Windsor armchair c1840. Here we have a very rare early Victorian stick back Windsor armchair c1840. As you can see the chair has great colour and patina. This rare early chair has a high hoop back with scribed decoration. There are turned spindles above a hooped arm and shaped supports. The seat is saddled and a single piece of solid super grainy Elm. The Ash legs are well tuned and joined by an H stretcher. A rare survivor in great retail condition ready for your home. Very rare opportunity to own an unrestored original early signature model of Ercol. This compact Ercol Armchair is a rare early model as it has springs rather than webbing. In beech and elm. Appx 65cm wide (arm to arm). 49cm deep (front legs to rear legs). 80cm tall (ground to the top of the back rest). The cushion is not original, but the rest are in unrestored condition including the finish, springs, and even the sticker. Wish I could keep it, but the downsizing forces sale..
