19TH CENTURY ANTIQUE SPONGEWARE POTTERY Large MUG/ Tankard Early Victorian RARE. This is a lovely, large example of 19th century spongeware pottery mug / tankard, with sponged decoration in pink and green. Rare to find a piece of this size. Applied handle with moulded leaf termini. 11 cm high, 11 cm base diameter. Apart from two old stable hairlines to the rim, minor stains. Light glaze crazing and appears to be stained crazing on the base. It is in very good condition, consistent with its age.
