Rare Early circa 1833 Antique J. Stoneware Bottle 9 Tall. Brown bottle is about 9 inches tall. It’s embossed’Vitreous Stone Bottle, Warranted not to absorb J. Bourne, Patentee, Denby & Codnor Park Pottery near Derby. There are few identifiable marks from this period. There are chips on the bottom. No cracks or other chips noted. Picture decorative items not included. 9x 3.5 HA. From the Internet: This business was originally known as J. Bourne, however, John Bourne died in 1819 and Joseph Bourne then continued the business in his own name. The nearby Codnor Park Works were acquired in 1833. Stunning and superb, exceptionally rare early Antique Salviati Venetian Winged Dragon Comport Baloton blown Girasol opelescent honeycomb and fluted bowl in light blue and gold leaf polveri on a folded honeycomb foot with hollow knop and Snapped off pontil Superb cranberry, rose pink with gold leaf polveri dragon, has clear gold leaf wings, black murrine eyes and tongue of Smalto Bianco cased in red There has been some well executed restoration to dragon and bowl attachment points.
