One cup would be very hard to find in their native USA, and there are no pairs for sale anywhere – these are destined for a top-flight Carnival Glass collection, and the new owner will be delighted! Measuring 14.5cm tall and 15cm across both are in excellent condition – one has a tiny 2mm nibble on the base rim, while the other appears damage free; both have slight wear on the base rims. Asian, Indian, and Islamic antiques and antiquities. Antique Fenton Carnival Glass Blue Loving Cup Pair’Orange Tree’ VGC Rare c1920. It will be very securely wrapped & protected. I have collected glass and ceramics, antiques and antiquities for many years, and my shop philosophy is to sell very good antiques at. Quickly so I do not need to carry much stock; larger shops will charge much more, but take much longer than I do to make a sale. I try to describe everything I sell as honestly as possible, including any damage, issues, or attributions to a maker, in my descriptions. Please don’t ever leave negative or neutral feedback without speaking to me – we can always come to a solution. Get Supersized Images & Free Image Hosting. Here we have an extremely rare pair of lions not shown in any of the books on yellow ware. This pair of recumbent lions on oval bases with a ridged band around the base are nicely molded and have a folk art appeal. This is a unique form produced by only a single potter. Measuring 6 ½” in length by 4 ¼” in height the lions are thickly potted on hollow bases. The lions are in excellent condition with only minor flakes on the base that don’t detract or take away from these magnificent animals. Any serious collector would be proud to add these to their collection. This item is in the category “Pottery & Glass\Cookware, Dinnerware & Serveware\Plates”. RARE EARLY 19TH CENTURY AME RI CAN ANTIQUE, SMALL, DIMINUTIVE 10 in HEIGHT, BURNT UMBER, BURNT SIENNA & SEPIA BROWN DIPPED over YELLOW OCHRE, HAND DECORATED, GLAZED OVOID STONEWARE CERAMIC HANDLED JUG. [Complex, variegated glaze color is achieved by dipping the yellow ochre glazed stoneware jug repeatedly in burnt umber, burnt sienna & sepia brown glaze, achieving the semi-transparent, layered colors we now see]. Early 19th century Ame ri can folk art, New England primitive ovoid shaped, hand decorated, handled stoneware ceramic jugs. 10″ Height x 6 1/2 ” Width x 4 ” base Width x 1″ Inner rim. X 1 5/8 Outer rim. Offered for your review and consideration is this subtle but still nonetheless very beautiful, hand decorated, early 19th century Ame ri can folk art, New England primitive, antique small, 10 in height, hand decorated ovoid stoneware handled ceramic jug. It features simply fantastic variegated brown, semi-transparent glaze in burnt umber, burnt sienna and sepia brown, hand dipped over an initial yellow ochre or putty white base glaze. The result is an incredible, layered symphony of overlapping color, resembling a work of fine art with layered color crepe paper. There’s only one slight, minor ceramic chip on the outside margin of the baseplate, where the sidewall meets the bottom. No attempt has been made to repair, conceal or otherwise minimize this honest and sole damage to the entire jug. The unglazed baseplate of the ovoid jug demonstrates its age and early, nearly 180 to 200 year old antique pedigree. A veritable, well-preserved gem from our collective New England primitive past. Good to Very Good overall antique condition. This item is in the category “Collectibles\Kitchen & Home\Dinnerware & Serveware\Jugs & Pitchers”.
