RARE EARLY PAIR MURANO GLASS LAMPS. Impressive and rare pair of murano glass lamps. The glass is hand blown in style of ribbon work and latticino. Three colours of white, green blue and gold fleck (copper aventurine). Elegantly shaped and standing on original metal bases enamelled in the original colours. These lamps will need rewiring. An exciting, rare and highly decorative unique original pair of side lamps. Size – 63 cms. (53 to top of glass) Total Weight – 4.7 kgs. Rare Early 19th Century AMERICAN Primitive Carved Wood & Painted WASH BOARD

For sale is a very early 19th century American carved wood wash board. This is a very primitive early design, likely made around the time the wash board was invented in the 1830s. It’s made from a single piece of hardwood and has hand carved grooves on both sides. Also features a hand painted flower design on the top. You can tell by the wear along the top edge of the wood, the paint was already there before the wear. The wash board has a beautiful patina from use over nearly 200 years! The grooves have partly worn down, especially in the middle, and have attained a smooth finish. This is from many years of use scrubbing clothes. The wash board measures 54cm long by 12cm wide (21″ x 4 3/4″). This is a very rare piece of American washing history! There are very few wash boards of this age left in existence, especially in this condition. It’s a museum quality piece, you won’t be disappointed. We use Australia Post and only charge the actual cost of sending. All fragile items will be packed with void fill and bubble wrap in a box. Rare Nymphenburg Porcelain Art Nouveau Orchid Hummingbird Figure Porzellan Figur. This product data sheet is originally written in English. A superb figurine of a hummingbird with an orchid flower made by Nymphenburg around the mid 20th century. An amazing piece and one of my favorite ones they ever designed. Also one of the hardest to find in perfect condition due to the obviously fragile nature of this figure! An extremely well modeled piece and painted to perfection that just looks fun in your display case! The figure is in perfect condition. It is marked underneath with the impressed shield mark, the numbers 858 over 0 and the green shield mark under a crown with Nymphenburg underneath it as shown. Rare KPM Berlin Porcelain Art Deco Couple Kiss Figurine Figure Porzellan Figur. This product data sheet is originally written in English. A very rare figurine very much in the Art Deco style of the period made by KPM during the Art Deco era. It is of a couple embraced in a passionate kiss standing with a baby in between them on top of a column on a rectangular base. Left in the white it makes quite the impression! One rarely sees pieces in this style by them. The figure is 13.25 inches tall with the base being 3 inches wide by 3.5 inches deep. The figurine is marked underneath with their under glaze blue scepter mark as well as various impressed numbers, etc. The artist name G. Wied is impressed into the base in the back as shown. The piece is in superb condition with a black kiln dust spot to the back and two firing cracks in the base inside which do not affect the piece at all! Rare Albert Solon Carved Tile – S&S San Jose California – Arts & Crafts 1920’s. Large 8 Hand-Carved and Glazed Tile. Circa early 1920’s. Signed twice on the reverse, stamped into the clay. A very large example designed and carved by the hand of Albert Solon, who immigrated from England in 1912, became the Director of the Arequipa Pottery in 1912, and opened the S & S Tile Company with Frank Schemmel in 1920. Several deeply carved and glazed bowls in the same style and signed by Albert Solon are in collections and can be seen by searching Google for “Albert Solon carved bowl”. One bowl has a motif foliage and birds, and the same design of the leaves as used in this tile. WEIGHT : 2 lbs 10 oz. A museum quality American art pottery tile. Excellent condition with no crazing, hairlines, or cracks. There are two small shallow glaze flakes at the upper left of the design (easily repaired if desired – see close-up photos). This piece will be a quality addition to any collection of American Art Pottery and will display beautifully in any decor: Arts and Crafts, Stickley Era, Craftsman, Art Deco, Americana, Folk Art, or Contemporary. Extremely Rare Opalescent Madonna and Child. Centre Piece Art Deco Original on Stand. This is an art deco large pretty Opalescent original Centre Piece with the Madonna and Child figurine. It is very heavy thick glass throwing out colour. This was made in France by Etling Glass in the Depression Era 1930s. The Madonna is holding the Child on her left side with both Madonna and the child facing the same direction. Madonna has a long gown on with a veil over her head. The metal stand has “MADE IN FRANCE” on the underside of the stand. The Madonna is 11.5 inches or 29 cm high and 3.5 inches or 9cm in diameter across the base. The Madonna and Child Figurine is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, repairs or damage. These are getting very scarce, you don’t see them very much anymore. Have a look at all the photos to see the lovely colour and condition. I know what it is like to get broken items and feel bitterly disappointed when they are not wrapped properly.
