ENGRAVED STONE FROM ORIGINAL 1918 HARLEY-DAVIDSON FACTORY IN. The stone you get is the one pictured. An addition was built in 1918 at the original Harley-Davidson Milwaukee, WI, plant. This was one of the ORIGINAL STONES that was used around the windows and doors of the Harley-Davidson 1918 structure!!! Around 2002 the wing was knocked down and put into storage at the Harley-Davidson Museum there. Each comes with a letter of authenticity which tells the story and chain of control of them. Each COA is hand-signed and has a unique individually numbered hologram attached. You will get the stone pictured. What a great gift…. What a great cause… Its a win-win, that’s for sure. What Harley person wouldn’t LOVE this! Dale Beatty and John Gallina (pictured at bottom of the COA) were injured in a Humvee in Iraq in 2004. Dale lost both legs, John suffered traumatic brain injuries. They could have chosen to respond any way to these disabling injuries, but they chose to not allow their injuries hold them back. They founded Purple Heart Homes, and in fact were pictured on the cover of TIME’s 2011 cover under the caption “The New Greatest Generation”. Dale unexpected passed away last year, but John and their team carry on. John shys away from individual recognition, but is rightfully-so proud of their charity and what it has done for our veterans. The charity fixes up houses to help our veterans out by building ramps, widen doorways, insulating, installing new electric wires, hot water heaters, and much more – at NO COST to the veteran! It is all funded from donations and fundraisers like this. They also have a program where they refurbish entire homes and sell them to the veteran at 50% of the home’s value. What a great program! Also, if this is a bit out of your price range, please check my other auctions as I also have all the bricks from the structure too, and have put a nice plaque on them. Fully workable (if you really get in a pinch and have nothing to make your pancakes with), but a great notable display piece, as most of these have not survived and if so… This one is fully intact, and flips over nicely seating properly into its mate, which was the whole point of making pancakes over a fire, where you don’t have to flip them. This baby does it for you. They pop off into the receiver tray and from there you scoop them up. What will they think of next? From back in the day – pretty ingenious! Collected in the first half of the twentieth century this striking board comes from the Eastern Kimberley and would have belonged to the Gija People. A similar group of boards were collected by Tom McCourt and are attributed to the Gidji sic and are documented in his book – Aboriginal Artefacts page 54 and 55. I owned and handled several of Tom McCourts boards and this one has very similar paintwork with the exception that the carving underneath on this example is a simple diamond outline to one side. The board shows great signs of use and has an encrusted surface and dry patina. It measures 78cm x 14.5cm. This is one of my most precious little cabinet sized dolls. She stands about 11 1/2 inches tall marked on the back of her head 277. She is a rare early Bahr Proschild doll made in Germany. Her chocolate brown bisque socket head is free from chips, cracks or hairlines… She does have some wig pulls, please see photo. Composition body in nice condition with expected age related wear, strung well and holds a pose. She has a replacement dark aubergine color curly mohair wig which is so sassy cute on her along with 2 antique pins pulling back her thick mane of curls. She has an innocent doe-eyed look with her large stationary spiral amber glass eyes. Original painted coral lip color, pretty little porcelain teeth and pierced ears with vintage faux pearl earrings. Dressed in a vintage lavender and lace silk blend dress w/ purple bow, original chemise, antique stockings and shoes giving her a sweet coordinated look. Clothing has age soiling. Feel free to ask questions. From a private, smoke free, climate controlled and well preserved collection. Puppy dog and all other used for props and not included in sale.
