Antique Very Rare & Early Small Dutch Delft Maiolica Bowl Circa 1600 Excavated A very rare and early Dutch maiolica bowl painted in blue decorated inside in the centre with flower closed by multi-circles and some ornamental motife – Circa 1600 – – Diameter: 4,9 inch (125mm) Height: 1,7 inch (44mm) – Excellent condition, only some little chips/usual wear (please see pictures) no cracks, hairlines or restorations – – A very rare find, maiolica of this kind/age is always found in many pieces – – Excavated in the Netherlands. Robert Thompson Mouseman Leather Chair Very Rare Early Piece Made By Robert Thompson himself – Very early piece unsure of exactly when this was made… My Grandfather bought / acquired pieces from 1920 / 1930s onwards… And in the coal business all his life.. My mother was born in 1937. This is a piece made without a mouse on it.. In Very Good condition… My Grandad BoB Wilson from Leyburn used to know Robert Thompson personally and delivered coal to him and he ended up running a large coal distribution yard / business and he gathered a large Collection that I was left when he passed away.. He used to swap pieces with Robert Thompson for his coal bills they were good friends.. The leather is Very thick and this chair is Extremely well made and very rare as all my pieces have been! Chair photos have been taken without cleaning or polishing the chair, it is a bit dusty… Will look a million dollars after a wood & leather polish. Been in our attic room un-used for decades. Rare Early Austrian JUGENDSTIL Pottery Vase EDUARD STELLMACHER c. Rare Early Austrian Art Nouveau Pottery Vase EDUARD STELLMACHER, circa 1895. We feature a growing selection of Oriental, Chinese and Ethnic antiques. FREE PICK-UP IN THE CHICAGOLAND AREA. Up for your consideration is a very rare and early vase by Alfred Stellmacher, made a few years before founding “Amphora”. It is in the Jugendstil style, made in Turn-Teplitz, and features a raised decoration with colorful enamel filled sections is reminiscent of the cloisonne technique. Imagery depicts two seated figures smoking a pipe on either side of the vase. An abstract face is depicted just beneath the round opening on either side, between the two handles. Underside is stamped “Stellmacher Teplitz” in red. Height: 8″ x Width: 6″. This piece was likely crafted between 1890 – 1895, and is in the Jugendstil (German/Austrian Art Nouveau) style. Stellmacher (with others) founded Riessner, Stellmacher and Kessel Amphora Porcelain Works (RStK), better known as Amphora, in 1892. Logically, the mark on this piece should predate the formation of this company by a few years, although precise use of the years associated with this mark are unknown. The vase is in excellent condition, free of chips, cracks, damage, or loss. There are some areas of imperfection in the glazes and designs i. Enamels dripping below their associated area, etc. , but nothing distracting or significant. There are few “light” spots on the brown glaze (from manufacture), and a small area of minor roughness on the underside. All of these minor factory issues are clearly shown in the last few photos, and are minor. The vase is free of chips, cracks, damage, or loss. This quote is for the Continental U.
